Semper Praesens (Latin for “Always Present”)

Semper Praesens – Semestris (Latin for “Always Present – Semester”)

Praesens Amplius (Latin for ‘Present To A Greater Degree’)

  • For significant improvement in attendance throughout the academic year from the previous academic year, defined by reducing the number of days missed in the previous academic year by 80% rounded up to the nearest half day.
  • Student receives $50 gift certificate at one of the following stores:
  • Praesens Amplius Silver Medallion
  • Parent(s)/Guardian(s) receive a Recognition Award of Merit Certificate

Praesens Amplius – Semestris (Latin for ‘Present To A Greater Degree’ – Semester”)

  • For significant improvement in attendance throughout the second half or final term from the first half or previous term of the same academic year, defined by reducing the number of days missed in the previous academic term by 80% rounded up to the nearest half day.
  • Student receives $25 gift certificate at one of the following stores:
  • Parent(s)/Guardian(s) receive a Recognition Award of Merit Certificate

Recognition

The Perfect Attendance Foundation recognizes the efforts of all participants encouraging involvement in the organization whether it be students, parents, teachers, principals or administrative staff.

 

General Regulations : 2017-2018 Academic School Year

  • Registration for the 2017 – 2018 academic school year will be available to Grades 2 through 6 students attending a school within the City of Calgary, Alberta and registered with the Provincial government excluding Home Education.
  • Participating students must attend classrooms with established and absolute means of recording student attendance, with a record made available to the Parent(s) or Guardian(s).
  • School administration and staff must have the means to dismiss a student that poses a health or safety risk to themselves or others in attendance.
  • Parent(s) or Guardian(s) are required to register and submit the verification of attendance within the provided deadlines.
  • ‘Excused absences’, ‘sick leaves’, etc. do not constitute attendance as determined by the educational institute.
  • Awards are not cumulative; only one Award and it’s value can be achieved per academic year.
  • Awards and General Regulations are subject to change, and will be interpreted by the Perfect Attendance Foundation.
